The Magic Box
I will put in the box…
The screech of a baby bird calling his mum
The crunch of crispy fried potatoes
Clouds playing tag in the sky
I will put in the box…
The crash of waves roaring onto the beach
Milky chocolate melting in my mouth
A creamy, full moon watching the world go by
I will put in the box…
The purr of my cat snuggling into me
Spongy banana loaf bouncing on the roof of my mouth
The wind brushing my face
I will put in the box...
The peace of a stream in the country-side
Potato and gravy disappearing down my throat
Smooth paper sitting like an obedient child in class
My box is…

Rosie, your writing is AMAZING. You have created heaps of pictures in my head, by using your five senses (I'm sure you know what they are!). I've been trying to teach my children to bring their writing alive too. Check out Treyah's and Te Anahera's writing, on our class blog.
